Are there limits to how much I can upload to Yacapaca?

Currently, the system imposes no overall limits on file upload. You should note the following points however:

  • Large file transfers by many students may overload your school network. Students are generally unaware of the filesize issue so it's best to impose limits yourself.
  • We did not design the system to host really large video files (100MB+), and would probably ask you to remove them. Specialist video hosting services such as Vimeo will in any case give you much more reliable streaming of videos.

In general, please don't worry about the amount of storage you are using. We contract our storage to Amazon's super-secure S3 service. They charge us pennies per gigabyte per month, so we are really very happy to look after your files for you, for free.
