How do I set Yacapaca assessments through my VLE?
All state schools in England are supposed to have a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) aka LMS, LCMS, MLE, Learning Platform etc, etc. Yacapaca quizzes offer much finer-grained reporting than the popular VLEs, so many teachers want to use the two together. Here's how you do it in just three steps:
- Select and set the Yacapaca assessments in the normal way.
- When you get to the third (and final) page of the assignment setting sequence, you will see a column labeled "Permalink" with an "m" icon (for Moodle, a popular VLE). Right-click this and copy the underlying link. Different browsers look slightly different at this point, so yours may not look exactly like mine.
- Send this link to your students via the VLE. It will now be tracked through the VLE with whatever task-management tools your particular VLE has. When students click on the link, they will be taken, via Yacapca login, direct to the assignment you have set them.
You will get all the marks back through Yacapaca as normal. It's easy to export those to re-import into the VLE or other markbook application, if you want to do that.
