Quiz templates are chosen during the quiz assembly process. The relevant options should automatically default into the drop down menu in step 2 (second screen).
NB: If you see no template available for selection in this drop down, the most likley cause is that you have selected incompatible question types at the begining of quiz assembly. You will need to start again using only compatible question types. Survey and Drag and Drop question types are not compatible with each other or with any of the other question types. All the other types may be mixed.
Quiz templates available include:
- Combi The Combi template exists in two forms, one which enables students to use an avatar ( Combi.vxx(Flash 7, avatar) and a second which allows a background image to be uploaded (Combi.vxx(Flash 7,bg,static))
The combi template should be used when you are using any of the following compatible question types (in any combination) within a quiz: Choose-1, Choose-N, Locate, Cloze.
- Drag and Drop Drag and Drop comes in three 'flavours': A Flash 7 version which enables students to use avatars; a Flash 7 version which enables a background image to be uploaded and a Flash 6 version designed for anyone who does not have Flash 7 installed and, once again, missing some of the later features. Only Drag and Drop type questions will work in this template.
- Survey This is a Flash 7 template which enables a background image to be uploaded. There is no avatar or Flash 6 version and only survey-type questions will work in this template.
- Choose-1 This is a template which uses Flash 6 and is designed for anyone who does not have Flash 7 installed. It lacks some of the features of the later Flash versions. It does not enable avatars or background images and it only allows questions which have one correct (or incorrect) response.
